Reviews:
"The biggest artistic statement of the evening was made by violinist Michelle Xiao You, whose fiery approach enlivened a long concert evening. . . . You played brashly, with a clear tone. In the first movement, she sparkled on Mendelssohn’s cadenzas, and she gave the arpeggios and sliding notes a colorful, three-dimensional air. . . . throughout there was an enticing interplay between soloist and woodwinds." – The Sacramento Bee
"A dynamic performer ... fully in command of the technical challenges." – The Houston Post
"It was an afternoon of exciting and brilliant playing." – The Georgetown Gazette
"Mesmerizing music filled the stage and moved my heart. ... As she played ... it showed Michelle’s range and how someone like her powers above most other violinists. Tonight’s performance made me a fan of Michelle Xiao You." – The Sacramento Press
