Curtis Kidwell

 

CURTIS KIDWELL, oboe, received his bachelor degree in business from San Jose State University and his master of music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory. His teachers have included Pamela Haki, Erica Yamada, and John de Lancie.  Mr. Kidwell has attended the Aspen, Marrowstone and SMU summer music festivals.  He received a full-tuition scholarship to attend the New World School of the Arts and he also performed with the New World Symphony.  He is the current principal oboist with the Vallejo and Auburn Symphonies and co-principal oboe/English horn with the Napa Valley and Santa Rosa symphonies.  He is a well known oboe/English horn instructor as well as chamber and orchestral music arranger.
